The Xpats Insider held its annual #WeHEIS Awards on September 3, 2022, at Hyatt Regency Dubai under the patronage of His Excellency Suhail Mohammad Alzarooni and hosted by the award-winning TV Host and foreign correspondent for one of Africa’s leading news stations, Mayowa Adegoke.

The #WeHEIS stands for “Honoring Exceptional & Inspiring Succeeds”. It celebrates diverse individuals who excel and inspire in various fields, puts them in the spotlight, and encourages others to promote positive changes in their respective spheres of influence.

Listed below are the 4 major categories of the Awards and the recipients:

Because of the sincerity and authenticity of the event, this year’s #WeHEIS Awards 2022 is jampacked with many high-calibre personalities from various fields, championed and supported by several Excellencies and Ambassadors to the UAE and other esteemed officials and personalities.

Romeo Reataza Jr, co-owner of The Xpats Insider, said, “this event is a testament that each of us has experiences that could make a positive impact in the lives of other people, whether directly or indirectly.” Romeo grew up without meeting his parents, graduated from college at 17 by himself, and was a survivor of Typhoon Haiyan, one of the world’s most powerful typhoons ever recorded.

‘What makes this awarding ceremony different is we don’t focus on a person’s success but on his hard work, the struggles he faced, and the process of overcoming them. The whole journey in achieving victory’, Noel Rebu Sy added. Noel is the co-owner of The Xpats Insider, who was a cancer survivor and the breadwinner of his family. 

The Selected awardees receive their customized plaque of recognition designed and created by Exclusive Acrylic. On the same day, The Xpats Insider released their 3rd issue magazine with the theme ‘Africa: The Sound & Color of Endless Wonders’. On the cover are:
