On World Environment Day and World Ocean Day, Funun Arts Group, Youth Creative Minds Hub along with Novotel world Trade Center organized a 10 days art event. As always, Funun Arts took this initiative by starting a mission to work towards the suitability goal of protecting the environment. As art is the best way to express, and so is experienced in this whole event.
The program was segmented into various categories like Panel discussion, live painting, art exhibition and creating sustainable art wall. This was the best way to bring everyone on one platform. Students, Artists, Environmentalist, Influencers, Dignitaries from various fields, Media and various people from different occupation. We can say Art erases boundaries and bring everyone together.
This event started on 11th. June in the presence of Chief Guest Mrs. Habiba Almar’ashi (Director and founder of Emirates Environment Group) and Dr. Sana Sajan (Director of Danube Welfare), Special guest Dr. Suaad Al Shamsi (First Aircraft engineer of UAE), Mrs. Juhi Yasmeen Khan (Director of JYK community), Mr. Ahmed Alhefeiti (Wadi Dafta), Dake Chandra (Dake Group) and Mrs. Lubna Naeem (Head of operations and Business Deve. At Gargash Hospital).
First Segment of Panel discussion started where Chief Guest Ms. Habiba, and honorable guests Dr. Sana Sajan, Ms. Juhi Yasmin Khan, Mr. Ahmed Alhefeti and Dr. Suaad Al Shamsi shared their views on various environmental problems and encouraged to focus on the sustainable goals. In this event, students of leading schools and colleges of the UAE discussed several problems of the environment change and measures to improve it along with the panelist speakers Pari Sagar, Raisa Rajan, Chandra Dake, Raju Makadia, Ami Valdemoro, and Illac Diaz.
Students participated in this segment were YOUTH POWER: Khan Ayaan Abdulla (Founder of Youth Creative Minds Hub), Mohammad Mustafa (Environmentalist), Siddhant Pradhan (President Environment DPS Sharjah), Rohit George Rarichan (Vice President Enviornment DPS Sharjah), Arsh Shaikh & Sarah lobo (Ambassador School Dubai), Carla lewis, Farah Ayman, Lamya Adurehaima, Lina Mouab & Zahra Yamchi (North American Int. School Dubai), Saim Hasan (Millennium School, Dubai) After the first session, in addition to the students, the guests and the artists used their creativity to recycle and up cycle the things and converted them into beautiful artistic planters.
In the next segment on 17th. June event marked the inauguration of W’ALL of Art and Nature, a permanent Sustainable art corner and art exhibition, which was inaugurated by Mr. Anoop Dhondoo, Cluster General Manager, Novotel World Trade Center, Ibis World Trade Center and Ibis One Central, in the presence of Ms. Ovilia (MD Ozone group), Dake Chandra (Dake Group) Asim Al Abbasi (Emirates Global Aluminum), Anjani Prakash Laitu, Peter Gressman, Ahmed Al Awadhi, Asma , Ali & Hana (World Art Dubai), many other dignitaries and all the artists and guests. The opening speech was given by the young speaker Mohd. Azaan Mehtab Khan (5 year old) who impressed everyone by his quote on world environment day.
W’ALL of Arts & Nature is the first of its kind where everything used is either recycled or upcycled. Funun Arts founders said, “We are on mission of creating sustainable art wall or corners where we can use creativity as a key tool in spreading awareness and bringing people close to nature. As this project would not be possible without the help of a passionate and hardworking team. We invite everyone to be on board for this mission and let us together create a magic, as there is ONLY ONE EARTH.
One can experience the beautiful thought process behind each artwork displayed by 25 artists. Each artwork tells us a message and is perfect on the theme of the exhibition. Participating artists were:
