An initiative by Funun Arts Group in collaboration with WKND Magazine, Khaleej Times, and hosted by Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre
The UAE witnessed an evening of grace, inspiration, and empowerment as Funun Arts Group, in collaboration with WKND Magazine and Khaleej Times, and hosted by Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, presented the remarkable initiative “30 Days 30 Stories.” The event marked a new chapter in celebrating women’s voices, creativity, and resilience — blending art, culture, and storytelling into one unforgettable experience.
Conceptualized by Shiba Khan, Founder and Director of Funun Arts Group, 30 Days 30 Stories began as a heartfelt digital storytelling campaign — sharing the journeys of 30 inspiring women across social media over 30 days. What started as an idea soon blossomed into one of the UAE’s most talked-about celebrations of womanhood, art, and achievement.
Over six months, the Funun Arts team meticulously identified thirty exceptional women whose stories exemplify strength, compassion, leadership, and creativity. The initiative culminated in a grand award ceremony, where 30 remarkable women from diverse walks of life — artists, educators, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and changemakers — were honored for their contributions to society.
The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries and cultural icons, including H.E. Yaqoob Al Ali, H.E. Laila Rahhal El Atfani, Honorable Sultana Farouq Kazim, Dr. Waldo Concepcion, Abdul Jabar Weiss, Bassam Nader, Naimmudin Syed Ahmed, Dr. Mariam Shaikh, Anjani Prakash Laitu, Peter Gressman, Dr. Nina Heydemann, Ms. Daisy Paul, Ms. Vandana Marwaha, and other renowned figures from the UAE’s art and cultural fraternity.
The evening showcased a unique story exhibition that brought these narratives to life through visuals and words — raw, real, and powerful. Each story stood as a reflection of courage and purpose, inspiring everyone present.
The ceremony was curated as a masterpiece of emotion and creativity. From the soulful notes of traditional Arabic music to the joyful involvement of young children symbolizing the next generation of dreamers, every moment resonated with purpose.
The event also featured a mesmerizing live fusion performance by artist and founder of FAG, Shiba Khan and dancer Swarashri Shridhar, blending visual art and movement into a breathtaking expression of empowerment. The live music by Rhytmix Entertainment added a soulful touch, amplifying the emotional energy of the evening.
A thought-provoking panel talk added intellectual depth, sparking conversations around women, leadership, and innovation.
The highlight of the evening was the surprise launch of Funun Arts Group’s first Coffee Table Book — “30 Days 30 Stories,” unveiled by the mother of the Khan Sisters. The book immortalizes the journeys of all 30 women, weaving them into a collective narrative of resilience, compassion, and empowerment. It is set to be placed in school and university libraries and hotel lobbies, ensuring that these stories continue to inspire generations ahead.
“This is not just an initiative; it is an experience — a reflection of real women and their untold stories,” shared Shiba Khan and Farah Khan, Co-Founders and Directors of Funun Arts Group.
“Through this book, we aim to share these journeys with the world. Each story is a testament to hope, determination, and the human spirit. When you truly believe in something, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
Adding another inspiring dimension to the initiative, the podcast series “30 Days 30 Stories — produced in collaboration with Chai Shai with Ayesha, is now going live on social media.
These intimate and heartwarming conversations feature the 30 remarkable women sharing their journeys, challenges, and triumphs — creating a space where real voices meet real experiences. The series will continue throughout the month, allowing audiences to connect deeply with each story and reflect on the power of authenticity and resilience.
